On October 5, AFSCME Local 685 will join retired DPO II Marsanell Page in a crucial community event—the Fred Jordan Missions 2024 Back-to-School Giveaway. The event aims to serve over 3,000 local children, providing new athletic shoes from Foot Locker, haircuts by Paul Mitchell Salons, clothing, backpacks, essential school supplies, and free groceries. For more than 35 years, this initiative has empowered underprivileged children in Los Angeles, giving them the resources they need to start the school year on the right foot.
Marsanell Page has long been committed to community service and has been involved with Fred Jordan Missions for ten years. Her leadership in this effort is part of a continuing legacy of engagement with underserved communities.
